Mountain Coaster to Open at Ragged Mountain Resort in 2013

Danbury, New Hampshire, November 4, 2012 - Right in the midst of making preparations to open the ski slopes for the upcoming winter, the staff at New Hampshire's Ragged Mountain Resort interrupted work on installation of $1 million of new snowmaking equipment, but it was just for part of the day. Today they joined officials from Wiegand Sports, LLC on the mountain to survey the site and to stake out the track of a new mountain coaster to be open to the public in 2013.

New Hampshire's Ragged Mountain Resort Invests Additional $1 Million into Snowmaking and Resort Improvements for 2012 -2013

Danbury, New Hampshire, October 17, 2012 - New Hampshire's Ragged Mountain Resort recently announced over $1 million in resort improvements for the upcoming 2012-2013 winter season. Most notably, the Exhibition trail, under New Hampshire's only high speed six person lift, becomes the second top-to-bottom trail at the Resort with fully computerized automated snowmaking. There are 170 new low-energy/high-efficiency snow guns being built at the resort this year with 50 of them being placed on the Exhibition trail. The additional 120 snow guns will be used to bury other trails and resurface high-traffic areas around the mountain. There will also be five new fan guns, plus a new pump that will push 25% more water on the both Ragged and Spear peaks.

For Resort, Overseas Hopes

Danbury, New Hampshire, October 24, 2011 -The owners of the Ragged Mountain Resort are looking to utilize a federal program to raise the necessary funds for a much needed expansion of the resort. The Ragged Mountain expansion falls within the parameters of the USCIS EB-5 program and the approved New Hampshire EB-5 Regional Center.

Ragged Mountain Resort Approved for EB-5 Regional Center

Danbury, New Hampshire, October 11, 2011 – The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) has designated the New Hampshire EB-5 Regional Center, LLC as an approved regional center under the Immigrant Investor Pilot Program for the towns of Andover, Hill, Danbury, Wilmot, New London, Sutton and Newbury.This designation will enable the New Hampshire EB-5 Regional Center to solicit investments in approved Capital Investment Projects by non-U.S. citizens at a minimum of $500,000 each, which investment must be used to spur job creation.

Along with the regional center designation, USCIS designated the Pacific Group’s Ragged Mountain Resort Project in Danbury, New Hampshire, as an approved Capital Investment Project.  Ragged Mountain Resort is expected to raise at least $35 million in new investment through the EB-5 program to renovate, expand, develop and operate the ski resort, creating at least 700 new jobs.  

New Hampshire EB-5 Regional Center Opens “Partner Services” Division

Danbury, New Hampshire, October 1, 2011 – In order to meet the requirements and to assist the foreign nationals with their EB-5 investment obligations, the New Hampshire EB-5 regional center has created an internal Partner Services group to manage the EB-5 visa process and other key investment issues.
